VRF/VRV AC

What is VRV??
The Variable Refrigerant Volume HVAC System is a relatively new technology developed by Daikin, the world’s leading HVAC manufacturer. New VRV systems offer high levels of energy efficiency, as well as flexibility. They operate quietly and provide the user full control of the environmental temperatures.

What is VRF??
Variable refrigerant flow (VRF), also known as variable refrigerant volume (VRV), is an HVAC technology invented in Japan by Daikin company in 1982. Like ductless minisplits VRFs use refrigerant as the cooling and heating medium. VRF is the more common term for these types of systems, and this is the term that will be used for the rest of the article.

System typesVRV/VRF systems can be used for cooling only. VRV/VRF are innovative climate control technologies that allow for changes in temperature in different parts of a building at different times of day.
